US ambassador angered the Syrian government by visiting many revolting cities, and meeting many demonstrators and opposition figures. The US declared it will not expel the Syrian ambassador to the US Imad Moustapha, who had been spying on Syrian dissidents, however, the Syrian government recalled him in what is deemed as an eye-to-eye response. France declared it will not pull its diplomats from Syria, even though the French ambassador’s convoy has been attacked earlier last month.

Nasrallah iterated his denial of Hezbollah’s role in suppressing the demonstrators, and called for an Islamic Christian alliance against the Israeli-American project.

On the ground, security forces killed fifteen civilians in Homs and Idlib today, as the regime tries to end demonstrations before its Arab League provided interval is over. Daraa is still on general strike for the sixth day in a row, despite the regime’s failed attempts in forcing the people to resume activities, and the Fourth Regiment continued its operations in Damascus suburbs, however, its attempts to seize mutineers only caused more defections within its ranks.

In Homs, heavy machinegun fire and random shells were fired upon the neighborhoods of Hamra, Bab Sbaa, Khaldiya, Bayada, Ghouta, Der Balba, Bab Amr, Bab Draib, Marraija, and Khadr; and the cities of Qaseer and Talbisa. The arrests campaign continued in Homs on the neighborhoods of Der Balba, Bayada, and Bab Amr; and the cities of Talbisa and Taldo, where electricity and communications were cut off, and a curfew was imposed by shooting anyone that moved to carry out- house-to-house arrests and searches. Defections were reported in Taldo, while demonstrations in Central Homs Prison were confirmed. Despite all that, demonstrations went out in the neighborhoods of Der Balba, Bayada, Khaldiya, Waar, Qusoor, Bab Hood, Hay Warsha, Bab Draib, Slaibet Asyati, Inshaat, Ghouta, Hamra, Shammas, Karm Shami, Karm Zaytoun, Nazheen, Bab Amr, and Jorat Arayes; and the cities and towns of Qaseer, Hoola, Palmyra, and Qraytain.
