Today's Summary of Events
Europe held Assad responsible for the bloodshed in Syria after
the announcement of the number of those killed since the
revolution started in March. French Envoy to the United Nations
Gerard Araud said that supporters of the silence of the UN
Security Council should realize that the violence will not end.
French envoy hinted at Russia and China who vetoed the UNSC
resolution condemning the Assad, and South Africa, Brazil and
India who abstained from voting.
Demonstrations went out today in what was called the Friday of
The Free Soldiers. Security forces opened fire at demonstrators
leading to the death of at least 11 civilians including two
children (one child in Qadam and another in Saqba in Damascus
suburbs). Among the eleven killed, eight were shot in Dael in
Daraa, where a massacre took place according to activists.
Demonstrations went out in today in Maidan, Qadam and Barzeh in
Damascus; more than seventeen different areas in Damascus
suburbs including Kanaker, Zamalka, Douma, Qatana, and Kesweh;
Marea and Tal Rifat in Aleppo; Othman, Qosur, Bosr al-Harir,
Tayba, Sanamain, Ibtaa, Msaifra and Dael in Daraa; Halfaya,
Khattab, Hamidiya, Taybat al-Imam, Kafarnabouda, Morek, and
Qosur in Hama; Sarmi, Jabal al-Zawiya, Kafrouma, Hass, Habit,
and Qurin in Idlib; Deir Azzour city, Shahil, Alajabileh,
Boukamal, and Quriya in Deir Azzour; Ras al-Ain, Qamishli and
Darbaseya in Hasaka; and Lattakia and Banyas. Over 20,000 Kurds
participated today protesting the assassination of Mishal Tammo.
In Homs, security forces conducted a looting campaign in Brazil
Street, within its recent trend of robberies of private and
public properties including hospitals, schools, and private
vehicles. As usual, officers and mercenaries at checkpoints and
security bases opened fire in the middle of the night in the
neighborhoods of Deir Baalba, University Village, Bayada, Karm
Zaytoun, Nazhin, Baba Amr, Bab Sbaa, Marraija, Bab Draib, and
Abu Mouza Circle. Warplanes still fly at low altitudes over Homs
and its suburbs to terrorize civilians. Despite all that,
demonstrations still went out in Bab Amr, Jorat Arayes,
Sultaniya, Jobar, Inshaat, Ghouta, Hamra, Dablan, Waer, Qosur,
Qarabis, Jorat Sheyyah, Nazhin, Karm Zaytoun, Hai Ashira, Jab
Jandali, Masaken, Mualmin, Khaldiya, Bayada, Deir Baalba, Bab
Draib, Salaiba, Bab Hood, Maidan, Karm Shami, Bab Sbaa, Maraija,
and Shammas; and the cities of Talbisa, Maheen, Houleh, Qasir,
Palmyra, Qraytain, Zafrana, Teir Maala, Dar Kabeera, Bweida
Sharqiya, and even the besieged city of Tal Kalakh. Security
forces shot at most demonstrations.

السفير الفرنسي إلى الأمم المتّحدة جيرارد أرُود أنّ مؤيّدي صمت
مجلس الأمن الدولي عليهم استخلاص العبر من استمرار القمع، إشارة
إلى روسيا والصين اللتين استخدمتا حق النقض -الفيتو- ضد مشروع قرار
تقدّمت به أوروبّا والولايات المتّحدة الغربية لإدانة قمع نظام
الأسد للمتظاهرين، وجنوب أفريقيا والبرازيل والهند وهي الدول التي
امتنعت عن التصويت
وخرجت مظاهرات اليوم في جمعة سمّاها المتظاهرون
جمعة أحرار الجيش، دعماً للمنشقّين عن الجيش السوري. وقامت قوّات
الأمن بإطلاق النار على المتظاهرين الذين خرجوا بكثافة اليوم مما
أدّى إلى مقتل 11 مدنياً على الأقل. ومن بين القتلى وقع طفلان
اليوم في القدم في العاصمة دمشق، وقتيلٌ في سقبا في ريف دمشق،
وثمانية في داعل حيث تم ارتكاب مجزرة بحسب روايات الناشطين
وخرجت المظاهرات اليوم من الميدان والقدم وبرزة في
دمشق، وأكثر من 17 منطقة في ريف دمشق من بينها كناكر وزملكا ودوما
وقطنا والكسوة، ومارع وتل رفعت في ريف حلب، وعتمان والقصور
والنعيمة وبُصر الحرير والطيبة والصنمين وإبطع والمسيفرة وداعل في
درعا، وحلفايا والخطّاب ومدينة حماة والحميديّة وطيبة الإمام
وكفرنبودة ومورك والقصور في حماة، وسرمين وجبل الزاوية وكفرومة
وحاس والهبيط وكورين في إدلب، ومدينة دير الزور والشحيل والجبيلة
والبوكمال والقورية في دير الزور، ورأس العين (كوباني) والقامشلي
والدرباسيّة في الحسكة، واللاذقيّة وبانياس. وقد شارك اليوم 20 ألف
كردي على الأقل في المظاهرات احتجاجاً على اغتيال الناشط الكردي
مشعل تمّو
أمّا في حمص، فقد قامت قوّات الأمن بحملة سرقة
للمنازل في شارع البرازيل، ويأتي هذا ضمن حملة سرقة تضمّنت
المستشفيات والمدارس والسيّارات الخاصّة. وكالعادة قام الجنود
والشبيحة عند الحواجز بفتح النار في الليل بشكل عشوائي في أحياء
دير بعلبة والمدينة الجامعيّة والبيّاضة وكرم الزيتون والنازحين
وبابا عمرو وباب السباع والمريجة وباب الدريب ودوار أبو موزة. وما
زال الطيران الحربي يُحلّق على ارتفاع منخفض في حمص وريفها. ومع
ذلك خرجت مظاهرات في أحياء بابا عمرو وجورة العرايس والسلطانية
وجوبر والإنشاءات والغوطة والحمرا والدبلان والوعر والقصور
والقرابيص وجورة الشياح والنازحين وكرم الزيتون وحي عشيرة وجب
الجندلي ومساكن المعلمين والخالدية والبياضة ودير بعلبة وباب
الدريب وحي الصليبة وباب هود والميدان وكرم الشامي وباب السباع
والمريجه والشماس، ومدن تلبيسة والمهين والحولة والقصير وتدمر
والقريتين والزعفرانة وتير معلة والدار الكبيرة والبويضة الشرقية
وحتّى مدينة تلكلخ المحاصرة. وتم إطلاق النار على أغلب المظاهرات
