ECCR meeting in Sweden Nov. 2008-11-16

The European Council of the Cedar’s Revolution met at ArDO headquarter
in Sweden.
The tour included a 2 day of interior meetings on Friday and Saturday
plus a Sunday mass in the St. Peter and Paul Church in Hallunda. The
mass was followed by an open meeting with the Aramean and Middle
Eastern community.
On the last day the ECCR got to do a round tour in the Swedish
Parliament meeting members of parliament from the ruling coalition and
the biggest opposition party.
In the conference that gathered participants representing the European
Council of the Cedar’s Revolution from different EU-countries (among
others: the Aramean Democratic Organisation ArDO, the Guardians of the
Cedars, the Lebanese Freedom Organisation and other Lebanese activists),
the gathering started to discuss the different issues on the agenda.

The ECCR will:

Struggle to re-establish the Lebanese Identity to the State of
Lebanon.

Continue its efforts toward the EU and UN in order to implement all
the goals of the Cedar Revolution of 2005.

Continue its efforts towards the full implementation of the UNSCR
1559, even under the chapter seven in the United Nations.

Support the Lebanese MPs who struggle for the freedom of all Lebanese
prisoners of war in Syrian jails.

Support the Lebanese MPs who struggle for the honourable return of the
members in the South-Lebanese Army from Israel and other refugee
lands.
A number of undisclosed decisions were taken in the meeting and will be
declared in due time.
The conference ended in a promising result and feelings of hope for a
free Lebanon.
