جامعة الدول العربيّة تبحث تجميد عضويّة سورية والأمن يجبر الأهالي على إرسال أطفالهم للمدارس

 اجتمع وزراء خارجيّة أعضاء جامعة الدول العربيّة للبحث في شأن تجميد عضويّة سورية بسبب جرائم الأسد ضد الشعب السوري. ويأتي ذلك مع مطالب الجامعة بأن تُوقف حكومة الأسد قتل المدنيّين وأن تَضَع جدولاً زمنيّاً لسحب قوّاتها من كافّة المدن السوريّة. وقد قامت اليمن والجزائر ولبنان بمعارضة هذه القرار تذرّعاً بتدخّلات خارجيّة
 
وما زالت الحملة الأمنيّة مستمرّة في سورية، حيث قامت قوّات الأمن بإطلاق الرصاص على مراسم تشييع جنازة في دير الزور وتمَّ اعتقال أكثر من 300 مشيّع بعد خطف جثّة القتيل. واقتحمت قوات الأمن الزبداني والضمير ومضايا في ريف دمشق وبدأت حملة مداهمات للمنازل بحثاً عن منشقّين بعد نصب حواجز في الشوارع وتقسيم للأحياء، وتم اعتقال العديد من الفتيات. وخرجت مظاهرات طلّابيّة في كلّيّة الكهرباء في حلب وتم اعتقال أكثر من 200 طالب. وقد حصلت اشتباكات اليوم في جنوب حلب بين الجيش السوري الحر وعناصر من ميليشيّات الشبّيحة في بيانون وعندان وحريتان والعامريّة، وبين منشقّين من الأكاديميّة العسكريّة للهندسة وعناصر شبّيحة في الداخل
 
ووقع تسعة قتلى من المدنيّين اليوم، حيث قَتَلت قوّات الأمن ستّة في حمص؛ اثنان في خان شيخون في إدلب ومدنيٌ في الزبداني في ريف دمشق
 
وفي حمص، انطلقت حملة أمنيّة مدعومة نحو قرى الدار الكبيرة وتير معلة والغنطو وغرناطة والشبعانيّة ومدينة تلبيسة مع إطلاق نار كثيف جداً من المدرّعات ومن كل الحواجز المنتشرة. وتخلّلت الحملة مداهمات واعتقالات ونهب وتخريب وسرقة للدرّاجات الناريّة. وتقوم قوّات الأمن بإجبار الأهالي على إرسال أبنائهم إلى المدارس. وما زال الطيران الحربي يُحلّق على ارتفاع منخفض فوق حمص وريفها. وخرجت مظاهرات في أحياء البيّاضة والنازحين وكرم الزيتون والخالديّة والإنشاءات والغوطة والوعر والقصور وباب هود وحي الورشة وجورة الشيّاح والقرابيص والحمرا ودير بعلبة وحي الشمّاس والميدان وكرم الشامي وبابا عمرو وجورة العرايس وجب الجندلي وباب الدريب وصليبة العصياتي ومدن وقرى الحولة والقصير وتدمر. وكالعادة تم إطلاق النار على المتظاهرين

Today’s Summary of Events

Foreign Ministers of the Arab League met today to discuss the suspension of Syria’s membership in light of the continued atrocities committed by Assad’s forces against peaceful demonstrators. The League has demanded the regime to stop its crimes against humanity in Syria yet its calls were unheeded. Yemen, Algeria, and Lebanon announced their opposition to any resolution against the Assad regime, citing alleged foreign intervention.
 
The regime's security crackdown is still ongoing as nine civilians were killed today; six of whom were shot in Homs, two in Khan Shaikhoun in Idlib, and one in the Damascus suburb of Zabadani. Security forces also opened fire on a funeral procession in Deir Azzour and arrested more than 300 attendees after stealing the body of the fallen activist. The security forces also besieged and invaded the Damascus suburbs of Zabadani, Damir, and Madaya after cutting off these cities with road blocks and checkpoints to initiate a house-to-house search campaign that included the arrest of many females. In the meantime, student demonstrations went out in the University of Aleppo and more than 200 students were arrested. Aleppo has been witnessing many revolutionary actions lately, including demonstrations and clashes between defected soldiers and the regime’s militiamen. Most recent were today’s clashes in the Military Academy between Assad security forces and officers in training, and other clashes between Assad miltiamen and the Free Syrian Army in the suburbs of Byanoun, Indan, Hraytan, and Amriya.
 
In Homs, a new security crackdown was initiated today on the villages of Dar Kabira, Teir Maala, Ghurnata, Shabaniya, and the city of Talbisa, under the cover of heavy gun fire and shelling from tanks, armoured units and checkpoints. The campaign included arrests, theft of private property and motorcycles, as well as sabotage. Warplanes still fly at low altitudes over residential areas in Homs and its suburbs. Nonetheless, demonstrations still went out in the neighbourhoods of Bayada, Nazhin, Karm Zaytoun, Khaldiya, Inshaat, Ghouta, Waar, Qosur, Bab Hood, Hai Warsha, Jorat Shayah, Qarabis, Hamra, Deir Baalba, Hai Shammas, Maidan, Karm Shami, Baba Amr, Jorat Arayes, Jab Jandali, Bab Draib, and Slaibet Asyati; as well as the cities and towns of Houleh, Qasir and Palmyra. As usual, regime forces opened fire on demonstrators injuring dozens.
