أشارت تقارير متعدّدة إلى قيام السلطات التركيّة تسليم المتحدِّث باسم الجيش السوري الحر حسين هرموش للمخابرات السوريّة مقابل تسليم السلطات السوريّة سبعةً من عناصر حزب العمّال الكردستاني وفق اتّفاقات أمنيّة سابقة بين الطرفين. وأكّدت بعض المصادر التركيّة أن هرموش كان معتقلاً لدى الأتراك منذ فترة، وقد تم تسليمه للسلطات السوريّة مؤخّراً. وقد حمّل إبراهيم هرموش -شقيق حسين هرموش- السلطات التركيّة مسؤولية اختفاء شقيقه. وقال أن شقيقه اختفى بعد لقائه ضابطاً تركياً في أحد مخيّمات اللاجئين السوريين على الأراضي التركيّة، وأن الأتراك هم الذين أخذوا أخاه ابتداءً مستبعداً أن يكون أخوه في الأراضي السورية من غير تعاون تركي. وأدَّى هذا إلى شك العديد من المعارضين في الموقف التركي تجاه الثورة السوريّة
 
وحسب مصادر مطلعة فقد أمر بشار الأسد كبار القادة العسكرييّن بالاستعداد لعمليّة تطهير كبرى ضد المعارضة. ويُذكر أن جميع الوحدات المنتشرة حول مراكز الاحتجاجات –متضمنة حلب— على أتم الاستعداد والتنسيق لشنِّ الهجومات ضد المعارضة في الايّام القادمة. وقام الأسد أيضاً بتعيين الجنرال علي أيّوب نائباً لرئيس الأركان. وهو قائد التشكيل رقم 1 المؤلف المنتشر في هضبة الجولان وجبل حرمون على الحدود مع إسرائيل. ويتألّف هذا التشكيل من غالبيّة سنّيّة. وقد بدأت وحداتها تنسحب من الحدود مع اسرائيل متّجهةً نحو الشمال تاركة الحدود الإسرائيليّة خاوية. وقام الأسد أيضاً بتعليق معاهدة التجارة الحرّة بين سورية وتركيا، ويُكلِّف ذلك خسارة للبلدين بالملايين خصوصاً لتجّار حلب
 
وقد أكّد وزير الخارجيّة الفرنسي أنّ بشار الأسد فقد شرعيّته، وأن إمكانية إجرائه إصلاحات قد فات وقتها. وأضاف أنَّ فشل الأمم المتّحدة في اتّخاذ موقف واضح من الأزمة يعتبر فضيحة. ويأتي هذا التصعيد بعد أن قال الأمين العام للجامعة العربية نبيل العربي أنه تم الاتِّفاق على خطواتٍ للإصلاح في سورية
 
وقد أسقطت الحكومة العراقية الجنسية العراقية عن نحو 160 أسرة عراقية من أصول سورية تسكن مدينة القائم على الحدود السوريّة بسبب دعم سُكَّانها للمتظاهرين السوريّين. ويُظهِر هذا حقيقة موقف الحكومة العراقية من الثورة السورية
 
وكثّفت قوّات الأسد وجودها في مدينة حمص واقتحمت باب سباع. وقامت باستعمال الطيران الحربي لترهيب أهالي حمص والحراك في درعا عبر الطيران المنخفض. وقد قُتلت امرأة بعدما اجتاحت قوات الأسد مدينة البوكمال. واتقتحمت هذه القوّات أيضاً حماة وبلدات حيالين وكرناز وسنجار في ريف حماة، وداريا والمعضميّة والكسوة ودوما في ريف دمشق، وشنّت حملة اعتقالات واسعة. ويُذكر أن اليوم ذكرى الهجمات على بُرجي نيويورك في الحادي عشر من سبتمبر يصادف يوم ميلاد من أسوأ الشخصيات في تاريخ سورية وهو بشار الأسد. ويتأمّل السوريّون بأن هذا سوف يكون آخر يوم ميلاد له في السلطة

Reports of a Turkish Collaboration with Assad as the Regime Prepares for a Definitive Offensive Attack
 
Different sources reported that Turkish authorities handed over the spokesperson for the Free Syrian Army Hussein Harmoush to the Assad regime for the price of seven wanted Kurds. This exchanged was reported to be part of security agreements signed between the two countries. Sources confirmed that Harmoush was incarcerated by the Turkish authorities for a few days before being handed over. Ibrahim Harmoush, the brother of Hussein Harmoush, confirmed that and added that his brother disappeared after meeting with a Turkish security officer in a refugee camp, and that there is no way Hussein would be in Syria without Turkish intervention. This incident is causing a lot of people to question Turkey’s true stance on the Syrian revolution.
 
Regime insiders have confirmed that Assad is preparing for a major offensive against opposition areas. Assad’s forces are on standby and coordinating with one another for this campaign. Assad also promoted General Ali Ayyoub to vice Commander of Staff for the Army. Ayyoub is the commander for the Sunni-majority First Battalion, which is in charge of safeguarding the borders with Israel. This Battalion has not been used in suppressing demonstrations before, and it will be deployed in full force all over Syria leaving the Golan Heights front open. Assad has also suspended all free trade agreements with Turkey, thus contributing to the deteriorating economic conditions of the country, especially in the city of Aleppo.
 
French Foreign Minister Alain Juppe confirmed that Bashar has lost his legitimacy, and that it is too late for reforms. He added that the UNSC’s failure in producing a clear stance against Assad is shameful. This rhetoric comes in reaction to the Chairman of the Arab League’s statement declaring that a reform plan has been agreed upon with Assad.
 
The Iraqi government has withdrawn citizenships from around 160 Iraqi families of Syrian origins residing in the bordering al-Qaem city. Citizenships were withdrawn because of their support to the demonstrators in Syria. This shows the true positions of those who are ruling Iraq.
 
Assad forces intensified their presence in Homs, and invaded Bab Sbaa. It also used military airplanes to intimidate the residents of Homs and the city of Harrak by flying with low altitudes. The forces also killed a woman in Boukamal after invading it. Assad loyalists broke into Hama and the surrounding towns of Hayaleen, Kirnaz and Sinjar; and Daraya, Moadamiya, Kesweh, and Douma in the suburbs of Damascus. Massive arrest campaigns occurred.
 
It is noted that today, the memory of the terrorist attacks against the WTC’s, is also the memory of a sad Syrian event; the birthday of Bashar Assad. The majority of Syrians hope this will be his last.
