Hezbollah should stop hiding behind Christians

How can Hezbollah ask for more help from the Christians in Lebanon?

This question is hard to answer if you don’t know the terms, ¨Dhimmi system¨. The Dhimmi ideology gives a strong party as Hezbollah the right to one day threaten a Christian community and the other day demand to be helped by the same community. The Dhimmi system gives the right for the Muslim part to get all necessary assistance from the Christians living under such conditions.

Today in Lebanon we are seeing the Christian population opening up their homes, hospitals and schools to the Shiite population mainly supporting the Hezbollah party and/or their goals. The same party that was the reason for many Christian people leaving the south of Lebanon a few years ago when that part of the country started to be ruled by this fanatic Islamic party.

The party got control over southern parts of Lebanon and the Lebanese officials were restricted from there and were forbidden to handle the security of the population. Year after year Hezbollah started to change rules and laws that made the life for the Christians unbearable. All kind of night life that people like to enjoy was forbidden. All kind of alcohol in the stores was forbidden. New routines for the school system were imposed, such as the holiday’s issue, to stop taking Saturday and Sunday off but Friday and Sunday.

All that plus the fact that whatever happened to you in the south, you could never turn to any Lebanese official but had to face the fanatic party of Hezbollah.

After all this the south was getting less and less inhabited by Christians.

Hezbollah didn’t stop with taking over the south of Lebanon. They continue to Beirut and started to act as they wanted even if it meant breaking the Lebanese law. The highest number of people not paying their governmental taxes and bills were the areas with strong Hezbollah presence, in Baalbeck region, in Hezbollah Beirut suburbs and in the south of Lebanon. They would after the war in 1990 ended start to take over houses and apartments in the southern suburbs of Beirut and once again impose themselves on others. They would also show the Lebanese society a new model for solving problems, the new way was ¨the burning in the streets way¨. Whenever something was not alright with them they would go down to the streets and start burning tires and blocking the roads and eventually continue to Christian areas making as much trouble as possible. The latest time was when the TV station LBCI broadcasted a comedy show making fun of the party of Allah, the Hezbollah. After the show we saw a flock of people taking the streets doing what I just described and entering Christian areas fighting with the inhabitants.

Today Hezbollah’s leader is hiding somewhere, no one knows where. People are dying because of him and his fanatic party. And once again the Christians open their homes for his followers despite what they did or did not in the past.

May Lebanon get through this storm in one peace and with the good result of a Hezbollah disarmed. No more armed militias inside Lebanon. Only that way we can build our country on solid rocks and not on sand like in the past.
