I: Crypto-Jews in Islamdom
It is in both historical and modern terms very common indeed in the broader Middle East for communities to invent pseudo-historical & prestigious, often “imperialist-sounding” imaginary genealogies such as the famous Hebrew Biblical narrative according to which the ancient indigenous Canaanite Israelites had no less entirely archaeologically, demographically, dietarily, economically, genetically, geographically, historically, politically implausibly immigrated from that extremely prestigious ancient Pharaonic Egyptian civilization while claiming even older, similarly prestigious, legendary South Mesopotamian patrilineal & patriarchal genealogy.
However, it should also be pointed out that Crypto-Jewish (i.e. Secretly Jewish) peoples, ethnicities and sub-ethnicities although extremely common indeed in the broader Middle East are in contrast certainly anything but prestigious in Islamdom to use one quite massive understatement as Jews are the historical & contemporary untouchables of Islamdom, albeit hardly the only ones. It is thus rather unsurprising that many contemporary Muslim neo-imperialists apparently experience a structural, discursive need to de-Judaize famous Jewish historical figures like King David, King Solomon and Jesus the Jewish patriot & Pharisaical rabbi who was martyred by Roman imperialism. Many Muslim neo-imperialists thus extremely impertinently claim that these very Jewish, major historical personalities have somehow retroactively instead become “Neo-Philistine” Gentile Muslims (sic!).
Nevertheless, many communities in Islamdom claim legendary, prestigious Arabian/Islamic/Quranic pseudo-historical descent and many such communities have actually this way carefully hidden Pan-Jewish genealogical origin which if widely known in many cases would be associated with severe group stigmatization as the Jewish societal-structural untouchables of Islamdom. Such Crypto-Jewish dissimulation claiming prestigious Arabian/Islamic/Quranic pseudo-historical descent provided in some of those Crypto-Jewish ethnological cases a rather convenient, indeed highly convincing explanation for the tendency in many genetically distinctive Jewish communities for significantly above average societal achievement. While many Jewish communities thus successfully managed to escape the derogatory social status of Jewish untouchables of Islamdom – others like the previously natively Greek-speaking, now natively Oghuz-speaking portion of Anatolian Alevi Hellenist Jewry certainly did not.
Islamdom has thus provided many societal incentives to those “acquiring” legendary Arabian/Islamic/Quranic genealogy while on the other hand providing many disincentives for being overt about Pan-Jewish ethnological/genealogical status and other ethnic/religious origins structurally stigmatized by traditional Muslim religious imperialism. The vast diversity of Crypto-Jewish communal groups in Islamdom includes castes, clans, communities, dynasties, ethnic groups, Ghulat sects, “heretics”, human subspecies, idiomatic realms, Judeo-Christians, Judeo-Shias, Judeo-Sufis, Judeo-Sunnis, lineages of nobility, neighborhoods, patrilineal descent groups, peoples, political dynasties, Priestly Judaism, regions, religions, religious denominations, sayyids, sects, social groups, states, sub-ethnic groups, towns, tribes and villages distinguishing themselves in various often subtle ways from their neighbors. Yet, that which overtly socially/culturally distinguishes them from neighboring non-Jews is not necessarily exoterically identifiable as overtly Jewish in either Biblical or Talmudic terms.
Dedes, i.e. hereditary Alevi priests in Alevi Judaism constitute one of the more obvious examples of discursive transformation of severely stigmatized Pan-Jewish descent into altered/invented legendary genealogies exoterically claiming prestigious Arabian/Islamic/Quranic origins. Yet, there are many other such Pan-Jewish ethnological cases in different countries of the broader Middle East. While some Jewish/Crypto-Jewish communities in Islamdom were entirely assimilated into surrounding populations, many other Jewish/Crypto-Jewish communities remained as distinctive independent communities albeit under different religious, ethnic & communal designations as the general tribal structure of societies in the broader Middle East served to quite effectively prevent individual assimilation of members of many Crypto-Jewish communities. Although many Crypto-Jewish communities remained endogamous, others maintained their Pan-Jewish patrilineage, yet still others remained as distinctive communities despite being at least nominally exogamous. The question of collective Jewishness & Jewish nationality is however determined by whether a given community constitutes a Crypto-Jewish people, a Crypto-Jewish ethnicity and/or a Crypto-Jewish sub-ethnicity. Some (a) Crypto-Jews practice some form of Crypto-Judaism (i.e. “Secret Judaism”) such as Alevism or Yezidism, (b) others practice other religions, (c) some practice some form of Crypto-Judaism together with other religions and (d) yet others are not religiously observant.
The Pan-Jewish nation has generally the following structure:
4. Pan-Jewish sub-ethnicity
3. Pan-Jewish ethnicity
2. Pan-Jewish peoplehood
1. Pan-Jewish nationhood
If someone belongs to a Pan-Jewish ethnic community as of 1, 2 and/or 3, then s/he is also ethnically vested with Pan-Jewish nationality, even if ethnically only in Crypto-form, thus meaning secretly so in ethnic terms. Crypto-Jews literally means Secret Jews and the prefix crypto- is derived from the Greek word kruptos and means “concealed”, “covered”, “hidden” “private” or “secret”. Even so, Crypto-Jews are no less Jewish than historically overt Jews as it is ethnicity in the wider sense of the word (including sub-ethnicity and peoplehood) that determines Jewish nationality and not necessarily any contemporary presence of any particular kind of religious activity. An Atheist Jew thus rather indisputably remains Jewish as s/he is and remains ethnically part of the Jewish nation. While there are religious arguments as to who is a Jew and who is a Crypto-Jew, both categories are quite indisputably vested with Jewish nationality.
Non-Zionist Haredi (Strictly Orthodox) rabbis tend to think that both Jews & Crypto-Jews should accept continued Pan-Jewish national suffering due to this purportedly being God’s seemingly totalitarian punishment for Jews not being “sufficiently” pious. Zionist rabbis in contrast tend to disagree with this politically pathological medieval mindset of Diaspora Jewish Slave Morality. Talmudic Judaism generally and Haredi Judaism specifically does not have and have never had a monopoly on Jewish sub-ethnicity, Jewish ethnicity, Jewish peoplehood, Jewish nationality and certainly not on Jewish religion.
In Antiquity there were many forms of overt Judaism, yet most of the communities that survived religious imperialism as Jews did survive as Crypto-Jews with the exceptions of (1) overt Ethiopian Jews, (2) overt Karaite Jews, (3) overt Samaritan Jews and (4) overt Talmudic Jews which therefore are the only Pan-Jewish peoples with officially recognized automatic immigration rights to Israel. Since there are many majority Pan-Jewish lands, there thus also needs to be a federation of Pan-Jewish states. Every Crypto-Jewish community without a majority Pan-Jewish land of its own should each be entitled to immigrate to one of the future member states of the future federal Israel. As there are many Pan-Jewish peoples, being Crypto-Jewish often means belonging to different Pan-Jewish peoples than Talmudic Jewry and indeed often having a different Zion (e.g. Alawistan, Aram, Igboland, Karachay-Balkaria, Kurdistan, Pashtunistan etc.) as there are certainly more majority Pan-Jewish lands than Israel.
Today there are in ethnic terms essentially three types of Jewish peoples:
1. Overt Jews
2. Secret Jews
3. Overt Jews who were formerly secret Jews
There are furthermore many populations in Islamdom mainly descended from Jews/Crypto-Jews who cannot be considered as presently belonging to the Pan-Jewish nation because they do not any longer have Crypto-Jewish peoplehood, Crypto-Jewish ethnicity and/or Crypto-Jewish sub-ethnicity, yet some such formerly Pan-Jewish populations may nevertheless in the future along with most Crypto-Jewish communities in Islamdom want to overtly ethnically return to the Pan-Jewish nation and should indeed be enabled to do so. Most Crypto-Jewish communities in Islamdom & many communities in Islamdom mainly descended from Crypto-Jews are thus highly likely to indeed want to fully reintegrate with the Pan-Jewish nation once they collectively learn of their own Pan-Jewish origins. Universal Jewish national emancipation should thus also mean that no longer should any Crypto-Jewish community need to hide its own Pan-Jewish ethnological status due to fears of persecution.
Crypto-Jewish populations should never be required to religiously convert/reconvert to any kind of Judaism in order to reclaim Jewish nationality but should rather be accepted as belonging to different Pan-Jewish sub-ethnicities, different Pan-Jewish ethnicities and different Pan-Jewish peoples of the same Jewish/Pan-Jewish nation. Crypto-Jews are historically secret simply because that is how they survived Anti-Jewish persecution by religious imperialism.
First, we know from recent history outside nominally Muslim nations since indigenous Jewish sovereignty in the land of Israel was officially politically restored in 1948 that Crypto-Jewish communities collectively and strongly so tend to seek overt national reunification with Talmudic Jewry after learning of their own more or less suppressed Jewish genealogy. A second reason why overt reintegration into the Pan-Jewish nation is highly likely to be publically desired even increasingly inside Islamdom is that Israel is increasingly a success story in almost every field; defensively, democratically, economically, scientifically, technologically etc., while self-identified existential enemies of Israel in Islamdom tend to be societal failures in many such respects simply because they are historiographically deluded enemies of liberal-democratic open society who think the world is ruled by no less than a Jewish conspiracy (sic!).
Hating & boycotting Israeli Talmudic Jewry has hence since 1948 obviously contributed very negatively and indeed very substantially so to the rather dismal societal outcomes of many societies in Islamdom with Anti-Jewish state ideologies. Such self-identified existential enemies of Israel in Islamdom have thus in effect paradoxically led a de facto Talmudically Jewish & pro-Jewish economic embargo against underdeveloped economies of ideologically rejectionist regimes in Islamdom. It should also be well understood that non-Jewish corporate executives – not only in the West but also in much of Asia from India to Japan – tend to be highly appreciative & admiring of the perceived Ashkenazi genotypic cognitive profile and therefore as a consequence also indirectly extremely reluctant towards and skeptical of investing in economically underdeveloped polities ideologically/religiously founded on Anti-Jewish & Anti-Christian state ideologies. However, Israel’s astounding societal success in so many fields despite all the boycotts, discursive discrimination, hatred, terror, venom and repeatedly attempted genocide against us – as well as the manifold structural failures of rejectionist societies do make it increasingly attractive for Crypto-Jewish communities around the world – now even inside nominally Muslim countries – to dare seek overt semiotic reintegration with the Pan-Jewish nation.
The American Jewish organization Kulanu (Hebrew for ‘all of us’) which seeks global Pan-Jewish national reunification has published an overview at Kulanu.org over Crypto-Jewish communities around the world that have chosen to stay in contact with the Kulanu organization, yet it is certainly telling of the state of Anti-Jewish stigmatization in Islamdom how the broader Middle East has thus far mostly remained a white spot for the organization. Yet this state of continued Crypto-Jewish hyper-secrecy in the Middle East is bound to change as their Pan-Jewish ethnological status becomes increasingly well-known among these communities themselves. Thus, the secrecy evolves into mere hypocrisy which is ended by ethnic re-appropriation of Pan-Jewish identity. This has already happened to a significant extent outside of the Middle East and will undoubtedly increasingly happen in Islamdom as well.
Liberal-democratic, sovereign-indigenous Israel often evokes (1) feelings of private admiration among many people in the Muslim world and (2) hateful envy among yet many others who are also part of the same Muslim world. These two seemingly conflicting sentiments are often privately mixed-up as feelings of Anti-Israel envy in the Muslim world are more and more for every year that passes being transformed into feelings of private admiration although you wouldn’t know that from opinion polls or the local mass media. Conventional opinion polls are simply inaccurate when it comes to private taboo issues such as admiration for Israel in Islamdom or the frequency of same-sex carnal desire in Christendom. While there is undoubtedly gargantuan existential enmity towards Israel in Islamdom, it is far from unanimous. Many people in Islamdom even privately admire Israel for the very falsehoods ascribed to it by Anti-Jewish war propaganda. The Alawi Shabiha militia in Syria and many other criminal members of the Syrian regime thus tend to justify their war crimes by privately comparing themselves to Israel of all countries! After all, the Shabiha militia and the Syrian regime’s criminal war machine basically acts IRL in the very manner in which Israel is routinely and falsely so depicted by Anti-Jewish war propaganda….
II: Beyond Imperialist Identities
The indisputably non-Philistine Amian ethnic group which calls itself “Palestinians” in many other idioms than their own implausibly call themselves “Philistines” in both their native Amian idiom as well as in the colonial, yet still very prestigious dead Arabic idiom that continues to be politically imposed in the Middle East and North Africa as if it were somehow mystically anything more than simply the dead liturgical idiom of the religion of Islam thus very comparable indeed to the official & educational, non-religious use of literary, dead Latin in pre-modern Europe.
Many people in the Arabophonie who natively speak Amian (a historical continuation of the dead Arabic) and Darian (which resulted from Muslim colonial idiomatic contact between the indigenous Tamazight “Berber” idiom and early medieval colonial Arabic) still claim to be “Arabs” although this historical people called “Arabs” do not any longer exist and of course none of these ideologically Arabist claimants are native speakers of said dead Arabic idiom. Judean (externally often misnamed as so called “Judeo-Arabic”) is in contrast a form of relexified Targumic Aramaic while Maltese has now a largely Indo-European general vocabulary derived from European idioms. Citizens of Turkey & Northern Kurdistan have long been absurdly told by their dictatorial rulers that they are “genetic Central Asians” when in fact Central Asian descent plays a most marginal role in the gene pools of the Pan-Jewish major Anatolian ethnic groups despite this very big lie on the part of ruling tyrants of the Republic of Turkey – whether Kemalist or Islamist.
Many of the now almost entirely Judeo-Christian remaining Arameans claim to be “Assyrians” and even more implausibly describe the Modern Aramean idiom as “Assyrian” despite the well-known fact that ancient Assyrian was a mere literary dialect of the now long extinct Akkadian idiom. In addition, there are Arameans with “Chaldean” identity. Then there is of course the “Phoenician” identity which happens to be prevalent among ethnically Maronite Arameans. The ancient Phoenicians, although using a different literary dialect, spoke the same Canaanite idiom as did the Israelites, the Moabites, the Carthaginians and others as this very Levantine indigenous idiom is today for the most part known as Hebrew and does serve in a historically somewhat evolved form as the primary official idiom of contemporary restored, sovereign-indigenous, liberal-democratic Israel. Halachic Judaism which is the traditional religion among Talmudically Jewish Israelis has two universal liturgical idioms – Hebrew & Aramaic – that are also the two idioms of both the Babylonian Talmud & the Galilean Talmud (i.e. the Talmud of the land of Israel, usually referred to in English as the Jerusalem Talmud.) Furthermore, parts of the biblical Book of Daniel were written in Aramaic and some parts were translated from Aramaic, although most of the Hebrew Bible is written in Hebrew.
Christian Aramean communities of pagan descent were historically almost entirely Islamized while Judeo-Christian Arameans like all of those Pan-Jewish (Jewish and Crypto-Jewish) peoples with significant Israelite genetic ancestry have indeed mixed genetic origins due to ancient Pan-Jewish acceptance of converts to Judaism. Thus, it would be very unreasonable indeed to think that Assyrian-identified Arameans generally have no Assyrian genetic descent and it would be genetically even more absurd to presume that Maronite Arameans have no Phoenician genetic descent. There is no question that the Judeo-Christian Maronite, Western Modern Arameans have at the same time Aramean, Israelite and Phoenician genetic descent due to ancient Pan-Jewish acceptance of converts to Judaism, representing thus the diversity of Maronite genetic history. Many Phoenicians, many Arameans and indeed the Punic ancestors of the Crypto-Jewish, Judeo-Christian Maltese people who once spoke the Punic literary dialect of Hebrew did indeed historically convert to ancient Judaism. While the dead Arabic is a mostly external, non-native idiom politically superimposed in modern times by secular/religious Muslim neo-imperialism (Arabism & Islamism) onto the many indigenous idioms of the Middle East and North Africa, including on Amian and Darian – both Modern Hebrew and Modern Aramaic are living natively spoken indigenous idioms of this region as is even Modern Egyptian, in fact long falsely rumored to be no longer natively spoken.
The multicultural Pan-Jewish nation is composed of many different Jewish peoples – including the Modern Aramean people which itself is constituted by a number of different contemporary Aramean ethnic groups & Crypto-Jewish religious denominations, predominantly Judeo-Christian Arameans (whether with Aramaic, Melkite or Western liturgy) and by additional relatively small groups such as the Crypto-Jewish Mandeans & the few remaining Christian Aramean communities of pagan origin. The ancient-modern land of Aram which forms part of Grand Liban & Greater Syria is also part of the broader biblical land of Israel. The Judeo-Christian Maronite Arameans are not just any Crypto-Jewish denomination; Maronite Arameans are patriotic Judeo-Christian inhabitants of the land who have remained faithful to the broader land of Israel despite so many centuries of imposed, intrusive religious imperialism. Western Judeo-Christian Aramean ethnic groups do not belong to the same genetic groups as surrounding Amian Muslim populations mainly descended from Islamized Christians of pagan origin as Crypto-Jewish Arameans generally together with most Talmudically Jewish ethnicities and a number of other genetic groups such as the Druze do fit quite neatly into the broader Israelitic genetic spectrum. However, the Pan-Jewish Maronite Arameans are now increasingly for the most part privately great lovers of Jerusalem, of the land of Israel and of historically restored sovereign-indigenous, liberal-democratic Israel.
Muslim neo-imperialism in both secular & religious shape (Arabism & Islamism) has forced Maronite Arameans and many other Crypto-Jewish communities in Grand Liban such as the Lebanese Druze to not express in public their true feelings towards Israel as these Arameans and Druze reside as increasingly ideologically colonized Dhimmis in the now most tragically Iranian-occupied Grand Liban. Muslim neo-imperialism has thus forced Amian-speaking Maronite Arameans to not say in public what they in fact sense & believe as the Judeo-Christian Maronite Arameans are in fact very patriotic Pan-Jewish faithful of the broader land of Israel and have been so throughout Judeo-Christian history.
Thus, Pan-Jewish Maronite Arameans tend to appreciate Israel far more than Maronites indeed tend to appreciate themselves as Arameans as do comparably & similarly in fact many other fellow Crypto-Jewish populations in the region and beyond as regards their own sub-ethnicity/ethnicity/peoplehood. Maronite Arameans thus tend to be not nearly sufficiently politically committed to their own freedom as one Aramean people in order so as to strategically secure their own share in the future of this region. Furthermore, the Pan-Jewish Maronite Arameans have for the most part tragically failed to draw the necessary contemporary political lessons from their own politically most tragic, modern political history since World War I in the past one hundred years. This tragic, modern Maronite political history is basically constituted by a series of recurring, very serious missed historico-political opportunities towards establishing sustainable Aramean self-determination in the land of Aram from the Aramean coast, through the Aramean mountains to the Aramean desert.
Yet, especially considering that the Alawi, Alevi, Druze, Yezidi etc. denominations of Crypto-Jewish Priestly Judaism also used to be Judeo-Christian in Byzantine times – there is definitely potential & certainly need in Grand Liban for very serious religious-political-historical dialogue for peace and democracy between Maronite clergy on the one hand and Alawi clergy on the other. Alawis, who among the overt denominations of Priestly Judaism are the ones who have retained the most Christian customs from the Byzantine period have in fact much to learn from the past century of modern Maronite political history in Grand Liban in terms of the most tragic Maronite historico-political overreach since after World War I. This is also so as the tragic truth is that individual economic interests within the Alawi-dominated ruling elite in Syria are still most tragically prioritized over long-term Alawi people strategic interests in their very own mountainous, Mediterranean Alawi land, i.e. Alawistan. The current deeply tragic situation in Syria poses not a choice between Anti-Amian mass murder or Anti-Alawi genocide but rather one of ethnic/religious domination versus mutual self-determination.
Infamously, when the Maronite Western Arameans were given political opportunity to expand their small state after WWI they partly and indeed very tragically so chose the wrong territories. Furthermore, they no less tragically failed to establish automatic legal immigration rights to Grand Liban for Christian Arameans living elsewhere. Had Maronite Aramean political leaders at the time basically annexed only contiguous ethnically Aramean areas in nearby parts of Greater Syria plus the Anti-Lebanon Druze areas, then they would obviously also have chosen Aramean freedom, Aramean self-determination and Aramean statehood. Rather, Maronite leaders at the time tragically committed that most Middle Eastern sin of politically choosing ethnic/religious domination over mutual self-determination, a political sin which the Alawi ruling elite in Syria so immensely tragically continue to indeed commit every day.
Unfortunately, the internally severely politically divided, Alawi-dominated present Syrian administration has long been shown apparently quite politically incapable of getting together in choosing self-determination over domination, before and until the conflict in Syria reaches a certain extended, “permanent tipping-point” of military balance that would seem to most definitely swing against the cause of permanent perpetuation of Alawi ethnic domination in Syria as well as against any serious prospects for continued Alawi minority rule in Syria. It seems indeed that Syria is in fact getting tactically closer to that very point as Alawi kleptocrats and other politically influential, wealthy Syrian Alawis need to make the collective strategic decision to indeed cut their losses and patriotically prioritize the strategic interests of the Alawi land – Alawistan – and its multicultural Pan-Jewish peoples – including Alawis, Alevis, Arameans, Crypto-Alawis, Crypto-Arameans, Kurds and other fellow members of Pan-Jewish peoples in Alawistan. In fact, orderly diplomatic partition as implemented as early as possible is the best way to protect private property more generally in Syria & Grand Liban and entirely irrespectively so of ethnicity, nationality and religion.
Yet, if the military pendulum were to swing too heavily in favor of the Sunni Amian opposition, then the Sunni Amian opposition would then themselves in turn certainly be quite likely to be predisposed to very similarly commit the very same regional political sin by most likely choosing ethnic/religious domination over mutual self-determination. Sunni Amian forces in Syria will in all likelihood thus only remain somewhat receptive to the notion of diplomatic partition of Greater Syria as long as their people remain comparably militarily weak & indeed very tragically, desperately victimized. Unfortunately, too many in the Alawi ruling elite in Syria still share this political mindset of Middle Eastern Master-Slave Morality.
The fundamental political choice remains in fact one between domination and self-determination in the region generally which is rife with ethnic/religious quests for domination over ethnic/religious others, including most prominently on the part of Islamism such as the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt by seeking to impose the rule of Sharia law on the ethnic/religious Egyptian Christian minority who constitute 20% of the Egyptian nation in Egypt. (The designation “Coptic” for the Anti-Arabist Christian Egyptians simply means “Egyptian”.)
Pseudo-Philistine Amian political leaders in Ramallah do in fact continue to commit this very same regional political sin of severely mistaken strategic choice almost every day by opposing conclusive partition for conclusive peace. The Ramallah political leadership has wholly unrealistically continued to officially seek Arabist ethnic/religious domination over restored indigenous Jewish regions in Judea & Samaria rather than very reasonably seeking national unification through diplomatic negotiation with both “Pseudo-Philistine” Amian regions in Israel and Amian peoples throughout geographic Amistan. The anachronistically rejectionist Ramallah political leadership still does not seem to have quite internalized that their real, true friends & genuine strategic partners for peace in the Israeli political landscape are those diplomatically supportive of Pan-Amian/Pan-Jewish mutual, optimal and territorial/maritime contiguous conclusive partition in the entire land of Israel and beyond. This is as opposed to a growing faction of conservative Israeli Jewish opinion makers seeking to civically minoritize the entire Pseudo-Philistine Sunni Amian population in Judea & Samaria through comprehensive Israeli annexation there rather than very reasonably & indeed highly legitimately Israel annexing only some half of the terra nullius of Judea & Samaria as through conclusive partition for conclusive peace.
If the “Palestine Liberation Organization” (PLO) were a genuinely universalistic movement of national liberation as opposed to rather being an Arabist dictatorship systematically ideologically preparing their people for “achieving” a Second Shoah, then they would undoubtedly support conclusive partition for conclusive peace between the two broader nations in the region – the Pan-Amian nation and the Pan-Jewish nation. Need I once more point out, that this very Sunni Amian ethnic group which calls itself “Philistine Arabs” in both Amian and Arabic is neither “Arab” nor “Philistine” as these ancient historical peoples do not any longer exist? This is so as the imperialist, colonial Arabic became a dead idiom as it was transformed into its historical successor – Amian – which is a very different Semitic idiom and I would say indeed quite indisputably so. Need I also add that that the word “Philistine” is an etymologically Hebrew term and that the ancient Hebrew biblical-era Philistine people who are widely believed to have migrated from the Aegean region adopted the Hebrew idiom as their own and certainly were not Arabic-speakers or Amian-speakers?
Rather, Ramallah’s policy making remains so completely and utterly obsessed with existentially harming the restored, indigenous Jewish nation in one way or another (such as diplomatically seeking to deny Israel defensible borders) that they indeed continue to not prioritize overall Amian national interests. The Arabist/Islamist “Pseudo-Philistine” political movement has in fact consistently committed this second strategic mistake throughout their entire – in effect – politically self-destructive collective political career in modern political history such as through repeatedly declared, attempted and defeated Anti-Jewish genocide and even so long before their modern emergence as a specific Amian ethnic group that is politically distinctive from culturally extremely closely related other Sunni Amian ethnic groups in the region such as fellow Sunni Amian ethnic groups in states such as Jordan, Syria, and the Saudi polity.
Israel carries no hypothetical demographic risk complex whatsoever considering the many millions upon millions of members of fellow Pan-Jewish peoples around the world who hypothetically would certainly be very interested in immigrating to the land of Israel once invited to do so and would even gladly undergo “reconversion” if required to do so prior or subsequent to immigration to Israel as in the case of Ethiopian Crypto-Jewry. Talk of a demographic threat in current demographic patterns is thus sheer demagoguery. The alternative conservative Israeli political position in favor of comprehensive Israeli annexation of the entire Judea & Samaria is obviously argued in the context of increasingly rising overall Talmudically Jewish fertility rates in Israel, Jerusalem, Judea and Samaria. Thus, the strategic thinking goes that the rapidly growing Israeli Haredi population and the hence hypothetically by annexation substantially enlarged Sunni Amian population in enlarged Israel will therefore demographically counter-balance each other, forcing the leaderships of both minority populations to for the first time genuinely integrate into multicultural Israeli parliamentary democracy by equally sharing in national responsibilities and not only in equal legislated civil rights as is long since the case in sovereign Israel.
The Hebrew-speaking sector average fertility rate in Judea & Samaria at five children per woman is quite substantially higher than the “Pseudo-Philistine” fertility rate in the combined area of Judea, “East Jerusalem” and Samaria which according to official PLO statistics stands at three children per woman. However, the official demographic size of the “Pseudo-Philistine” population in that region has been severely inflated by Ramallah’s official demographers in order so as to (a) exaggerate Ramallah’s own geostrategic importance in the region, (b) fraudulently gain more foreign aid and (3) even politically preempt emergence of further Israeli civic support for comprehensive Israeli annexation of the entire Judea & Samaria as opposed to very legitimately Israel annexing only some half of it as through conclusive partition for conclusive peace.
Yet, the rapidly falling Israeli Muslim overall average fertility rate at three and a half children per woman is still slightly higher than the average Hebrew-speaking sector fertility rate in Israel at three children per woman. Even so, it must also be kept in mind that the Israeli Muslim population includes a Bedouin population with an extremely high fertility rate which does affect the average Muslim fertility rate in Israel which without the ethnically Bedouin population in Israel is only three children per woman. Furthermore, the Hebrew-speaking sector includes both a large Haredi (Strictly Orthodox) Jewish population with very high fertility rates (Ashkenazi Haredi Jews have a higher fertility rate than non-Ashkenazi Haredi Jews) as well as a large National Religious (Modern Orthodox) ethnically integrated Jewish population with a high fertility rate, both which significantly affect the Hebrew-speaking sector overall fertility rate. However, the high-fertility Jewish, Halachically religiously observant populations are by far much greater in demographic size than is the high-fertility Bedouin Amian population in Israel. Yet, these asymmetric demographic developments take place against the backdrop of a broader Middle East where the general demographic trend is one of rapidly falling and even negative fertility rates.
I personally do not support this alternative strategic position of comprehensive Israeli annexation of the entire Judea & Samaria which would quite unhelpfully perpetuate the demographic competition which is a key dimension of the conflict as waged against Israel. Such advocates of comprehensive Israeli annexation of Judea & Samaria do not think – considering the increasingly low and even negative non-Talmudic Middle Eastern fertility rates in the region – that this option would demographically necessitate major Crypto-Jewish immigration in order so as to robustly safeguard the Jewish civic majority in sovereign-indigenous, liberal-democratic Israel. This is so as this strategic option would only slightly lower the combined percentage of Jewish/Pan-Jewish ethnic groups among Israel’s citizens, especially if in addition to Israeli naturalization of the entire local Crypto-Jewish population (Arameans, Samaritans and Amian Crypto-Jews) in Judea, Jerusalem and Samaria – citizenship would only be offered/granted/imposed on those non-Jewish Sunni Amians without official “refugee status” as pending comprehensive resolution of the general political issue of refugees and their descendants in the Middle East.
The ethnically Sunni Amian demographic civic proportion under this strategic option of comprehensive Israeli annexation of Judea & Samaria could thus hypothetically and legitimately so become significantly reduced by not providing Israeli citizenship to those registered as refugees by UNRWA and by offering such “patrilineal hereditary refugees” in Judea, Jerusalem and Samaria very attractive economic incentives for fully voluntarily resettling throughout an otherwise unified Amistan as part of ultimately ending the discriminatory anomaly of patrilineal hereditary refugee status which is completely contrary to the otherwise universal norm on human refugee status. This emerging conservative political camp in Israel that supports comprehensive Israeli annexation of Judea & Samaria is keen to point out that many other Israeli politicians base policy prescriptions on falsely claiming to know the demographic future in the land of Israel by means of offering projected future fertility rates, yet articulate, prominent public personalities of this very emerging political camp do in fact tend to do precisely so themselves.
This alternative strategic position has long been incorrectly portrayed as a strategic option for ending Jewish self-determination through a transitional so called “bi-national state” when it is in fact precisely the other way around as comprehensive Israeli annexation of the entire Judea and Samaria would end all prospects for Amian self-determination in these parts of region and would do so by means of permanent & comprehensive Israeli Jewish minoritization of the entire non-Jewish Sunni Amian population of Judea & Samaria. Few are aware that there is not one single existing officially “bi-national state” anywhere in the world although there are many that are officially bi-idiomatic, including Israel, Iraq and Morocco. At worst, Israel would become Macedonia or Malaysia since no sovereign state can become involuntarily officially “bi-national” and Israel like all sovereign states controls its own immigration policy according to its own discretion & sovereign criteria, including as relating to Crypto-Jewish communities outside of Israel.
Furthermore, successive Israeli administrations have generally not built in this terra nullius in ways that would impede ultimate partition of Judea & Samaria, but have rather consistently built in ways that facilitates conclusive partition & mutual territorial/maritime contiguity in the land of Israel between the two nations. The corrupt Ramallah political leadership should thus once more very, very carefully ponder whether Pan-Amian/Pan-Jewish conclusive partition in the land of Israel between a unified federal Amistan & a unified federal Israel or alternatively permanent Israeli Jewish national conclusive minoritization of the entire Sunni Amian population of Judea & Samaria – as already in Amian parts of Israel – would in fact best serve their own people interests & indeed the shared national interests of the entire Amian nation.
For Israel, a fundamental, even existential question remains however whether Israeli Jewry truly should desire domestic coexistence with a human population whose ideological leadership openly seek our destruction? Conclusive partition in Judea & Samaria is not required for Israeli demographic reasons but is certainly desirable from the perspective of the Pan-Jewish national interest, including (a) because it is possible and (b) because collectives who ideologically seek a Second Shoah and Israel’s destruction, despite having fully legally equalized Israeli citizenship obviously cannot be trusted as full partners in Israeli democracy just as persons & collectives elsewhere with such intrinsically Anti-Jewish worldviews obviously cannot be trusted as full partners in other liberal democracies either. This is certainly the official view inside liberal-democratic Germany as regards Germany’s domestic enemies of open society. After all, the Enlightenment project of liberal-democratic Jewish coexistence in Europe ended up in gas chambers and subsequently really permanently vanished though the chimneys of Nazi crematoria – all by means of administrative decisions made by non-Jewish political leaders who came to power through free and fair parliamentary elections in a liberal democracy. The highly unfortunate fact is that the vast majority of voting members of Israel’s Sunni Amian national minority do elect members of Knesset who are enemies of open society, whether Arabist, Communist or Islamist.
Comprehensive Israeli annexation of Judea & Samaria would not resolve or end the conflict but subsequent domestic migrations could potentially make conclusive partition demographically and geographically unfeasible. Simply because conclusive partition is demographically possible at present does not necessarily mean that it would always remain so after a comprehensive Israeli annexation of Judea & Samaria. After all, it must not be forgotten that part of the very mission of democratic Zionism is to end mutually unwanted “coexistence” with self-identified existential enemies of the Jewish nation.
It is an indisputable matter of political record in this shared region of ours which is the broader Near East with its very peculiar political cultures – many of which are paradoxically seemingly paradoxically ideologically united in seeking ethnic/religious domination over each other – that involuntary domestic cohabitation amounting to forced collective unhappy political marriage between peoples/nations in our region tends to lead to both regional instability & violent conflict and hence the need for a new regional political architecture ensuring self-determination for all in ways conducive to responsible development of democratic peace. Therefore, comprehensive Israeli annexation of the entire Judea & Samaria is not a strategically sound political alternative – for either side – to conclusive partition in the land of Israel between a unified federal Israel and a unified federal Amistan, although comprehensive annexation would present both military advantages and military disadvantages.
In fact, it is the pervasive regional paradigmatic, political structure of seeking political domination over ethnic/religious others that is main the source of instability, extremism and intra-human mayhem in the Middle East. This includes both pre-modern Muslim imperialism & modern Muslim neo-imperialism (Arabism, Islamism etc.), as well as much of the modern political reaction in the region against traditional Muslim imperialism such as expressed through the historical establishment of the former Maronite historical domination in Grand Liban and the historical establishment of the Alawi still existing political domination in Syria.
Political federalism within and geographic partition between the Pan-Amian nation & the Pan-Jewish nation is not only – in practice the only viable solution to this region-wide structural predicament but also a functioning recipe for mutually wanted coexistence through incremental regional integration within and between a Federal Israel and a Federal Amistan. The Ramallah regime through its pyromaniacal initiative at the UN General Assembly thus seeks to effectively extinguish this sole hope for peace by peaceful means alone regarding this conflict. Those other governments that do aid and abet in this regard have no business in afterwards complaining about consequences for the region and the world that will ensue as a result of the pyromaniacal complicity of these, in this regard irresponsible governments.
Hypothetical Pseudo-Philistine independence whether virtual or real is a guaranteed recipe for regional instability due to the fundamentally destabilizing & intrinsically Anti-Jewish, Muslim neo-imperialist ideologies underpinning the two Pseudo-Philistine regimes (i.e. Arabism & Islamism) and any hypothetical Arabist/Islamist Pseudo-Philistine independence whether virtual or real is hence fundamentally and wholly cosmologically incompatible with a permanent, peaceful two-state solution. While the Pseudo-Philistine Arabist/Islamist extreme nationalist movement can have as many Neo-Philistine Amian member states as they like west of the Jordan river within a federal Amistan – if the Ramallah regime proceeds with its strategically very dangerous current provocation efforts at the UN General Assembly as it claims it will, we will then see which governments around the world are indeed part of the problem of globalized pyromaniacal conflict perpetuation which will undoubtedly enhance the Pan-Islamist global discursive strategy of inducing & provoking clashes of civilizations against liberal-democratic nations of open society such as Israel.
Those who fully mistakenly believe that Israel will suicidally somehow fatalistically return to the 1949-1967 Jordanian-Israeli armistice lines which that exceptionally eloquent Anglophone Israeli foreign minister Abba Eban (1966-74) famously & highly accurately so referred to as the “Auschwitz lines” – are clearly on the wrong side of history as those very dangerous, legally temporary armistice lines when in existence for a mere 19 years nearly half a century ago only bred conflict, terrorism, rejectionism and regional instability, including the explicitly Anti-Jewish, openly genocidally intended Arabist aggression of 1967 known as the Six Day War where Israel prevailed & survived at the dear national price of the loss of the lives of 776 Israeli soldiers. “Consensual fantasies” projecting unfounded Eurocentric Humanist idealization onto ideologically imperialist enemies of open society will unfortunately only breed further tragedy as every politically responsible student of modern European history knows perfectly well.
Those who discursively & indeed very shamefully so assist Pseudo-Philistine pyromaniacs are in fact implicating themselves in those very efforts by the Islamist nexus & Riyadh’s tyrannical Arabist-imperialist Ramallah proxy. Israel’s Arabist/Islamist strategic adversaries (including the PLO) were always wrong about Israel’s geographic future and undoubtedly they still are as they today, no less than in 1948 & 1967 remain fully cosmologically deluded by Muslim imperialist, determinist historiography in hegemonic domestic political/religious/ideological discourse. It is contrary to what is claimed by Muslim imperialists truly anti-imperialistic to support the so demonized Jews & Christians of the broader Middle East who like so many Muslims & post-Muslims are victimized by the Anti-democratic tyranny of modern Muslim neo-imperialism, i.e. by Arabism & Islamism. However, rest assured that Israel will certainly respond proactively if the Ramallah regime persists with its current, highly destabilizing UNGA provocation efforts.
Indeed, the PLO regime’s attempted diplomatic game changer at the UN General Assembly effectively diplomatically departs from the mutually agreed, signed and therefore binding diplomatic framework for final status negotiations in the Oslo Accords which requires all final status issues of mutual interest to be diplomatically determined through bilateral final status negotiations. Final status issues are de jure matters for bilateral negotiation, certainly not preconditions for negotiation or multilateral matters. However, the current provocative course of action by the Ramallah tyranny means that the PLO therefore by its own confrontational diplomatic actions, knowing full well that it engages in extremely contentious territorial conflict would also formally cease to be a final status diplomatic interlocutor for Israel as is already long since de facto the case considering the PLOs long-term refusal to truly negotiate final status ever since the first signings of the Oslo Accords in the early 1990s. This attempted game changer on the part of the PLO regime would as a matter of political fact render any further Israeli agreements with the PLO effectively meaningless without even a shred of Pseudo-Philistine diplomatic credibility remaining if there ever were any. Such highly regrettable course of action on the part of the PLO regime would therefore be appropriately reciprocated by Jerusalem, thus at best turning Amman into Ramallah’s last and sole interlocutor for final status negotiation.
The projected PLO charade in “political time travel” at the UN General Assembly, supposedly anachronistically “returning” the 77-year-old Mr. Abbas 45 years back in time & space to the fountain of his youth; may ultimately “return” the PLO’s political stature to much less than prior to the 1967 Six Day War. If the Arabist-imperialist PLO regime hence departs from the signed agreement in determination of the framework for final status negotiations – then so will Jerusalem as the Arabist-imperialist Pseudo-Philistine extreme nationalist movement once more as so many times before throughout its destructive political history and in fact always to its own detriment; chooses the strategic option of regional confrontation, diplomatic and otherwise. This latest PLO course of action to diplomatically prejudge final status issues without Israel’s agreement will therefore certainly be appropriately reciprocated by liberal-democratic, sovereign-indigenous Israel.
The irrefutable historical & contemporary fact is contrary to popular neo-imperialist lies rather that (1) the restored indigenous Jewish presence in Judea, Jerusalem and Samaria and (2) Israel’s security barrier are anchors of regional & global stability and this remains true irrespective of any amount of inter-imperialist “consensual lies” hence attempting to diplomatically prejudge final status issues entirely without Israel’s agreement. This conflict is one between historical lie and historical truth, on the one hand consistent denial of Jewish history and on the other its sovereign-indigenous, liberal-democratic affirmation & continuation, certainly beyond the discursive matrix of oppressive imperialist Master-Slave Morality. Therefore anyone who collaborates with the PLO effort in attempting to diplomatically transform final status issues from matters for negotiation to multilateral preconditions for negotiations is herself/himself certainly a historical obstacle to peace in every sense.
However, it is certainly true that private Israeli citizens have very legitimately chosen to purchase real estate and build and live therein in the Jewish holy city of Hebron, the second most holy city in Talmudic Judaism which until the August 24, 1929 Anti-Jewish massacre there included a historically very important Talmudically Jewish community. 67 Hebron Talmudic Jews were murdered in that Muslim Arabist pogrom and the remaining 435 Hebron Talmudic Jews subsequently had to permanently flee the city until this indigenous Jewish presence in the land of Israel was restored, beginning in 1967. There are also Talmudic Jews, Judeo-Christian Arameans and Sunni Amians in Jerusalem who have very legitimately chosen to purchase real estate and build and live therein on the opposite side of the idiomatic divide between predominantly Hebrew-speaking neighborhoods & predominantly Amian-speaking neighborhoods in integrated, merged Israeli Jerusalem, a capital city which includes neighborhoods that also prominently use other idioms such as the Armenian idiom, the French idiom and the Yiddish literary dialect of the German idiom.
However, even Israel’s Haredi (Strictly Orthodox) Jewish community has become most tragically afflicted with the regionally prevailing, obviously culturally contagious regional political pathology of choosing ethnic/religious domination over self-determination. Israeli Haredi political culture thus tends to seek clerical Haredi ethnic/religious domination in Israel over those non-Haredi Israeli Talmudic Jews who simply do not recognize what constitutes in fact hypocritically monopolist Haredi religious jurisdiction farcically mimicking medieval religious imperialism. This is absurdly so as generally no Haredi denomination would accept being or becoming subject to exclusive religious jurisdiction of another Haredi denomination so why would other Talmudic Jews? This is also so considering that leading Haredi poskim (i.e. top rabbinical legal arbiters; meaning in practice religious legislators, singular posek) are particularly well aware of the existence of Priestly Judaism and its distinctive multiple, indisputably legitimately Jewish denominations (Alawi, Alevi, Bektashi, Druze, Kaka’i, Shabak, Yarsan, Yezidi etc.) whose very Jewish/Israelite respective ethnic/religious jurisdiction has always been implicitly recognized by poskim (rabbinical legislators) of each generation in observant Talmudic Judaism, including in Modern Haredi Judaism.
I say Modern Haredi Judaism because Israeli Haredi political culture in purportedly historically wholly rejecting modernity did in fact also incorporate some rather unattractive aspects of non-Jewish European culture, both pre-modern & modern. Much of Israeli Haredi Judaism is even parallel to & resembles Islamism in some very important political ways in relating to modernity, particularly in seeking to superimpose religious law as directly or indirectly elevated to the status of general governmental law.
Israeli Haredi political culture contrasts rather unfavorably with the highly entrepreneurial & in many ways highly respectable Diaspora Haredi Jewish communities who are economically well-integrated into modern multicultural societies other than modern multicultural Israel and quite unlike their Haredi kin in Israel – for the most part do not engage in public, collectively anti-social behavior & manifestly lunatic public discourse. Anyone even superficially familiar with the intellectual legacy of Jacques Derrida & responsible deconstruction understands that it tends to be almost impossible (although still sometimes technically possible) to avoid incorporating at least something from a rejected surrounding hegemony. Therefore rejection of surrounding hegemony is almost always partial however intended to be somehow naively & mystically, complete and whole.
When Jewish sovereignty in the land of Israel was officially historically restored in 1948, most Israeli Haredi leaders of the otherwise by Nazi Germany almost entirely exterminated Haredi Jewry – at the time considered the new secular liberal democracy to be too Jewish in order so as to be religiously acceptable in terms of their particular temporal understanding of Talmudically Jewish redemptive historiography/futurography/geography – despite Israel’s moderate, ideologically secularist political character. However, Haredi leaders at the time were not necessarily politically opposed to liberal democracy more universally as a form of sovereign government in independent states around the world in a temporal context which in their view would still be external to the projected Messianic era. Later in an incremental paradigmatic reversal however, intellectual leaders of the Haredi majority stream (United Torah Judaism, UTJ) in Israel tended to reject liberal democracy as a form of sovereign government in moderately Jewish Israel while implausibly now instead claiming that Israel is instead insufficiently Jewish rather than too Jewish.
Nevertheless, there is still a rejectionist “too Jewish” minority (Eda Haredit, self-referred to as Edah HaChareidis in Haredi Ashkenazi Hebrew) in the Haredi community in Israel that still projectively considers liberal-democratic, sovereign-indigenous, yet minimally and merely nominally Jewish Israel “too Jewish” and even rejects elements of their very own personal, respective Israeli citizenship due to their particularly extreme adherence to Diaspora Slave Morality. Thus, Haredi leaders long opposed even the nominally Jewish flavor of the Israeli nation state and when the Haredi rabbinical majority shifted to accepting Israel being Jewish, the reverse discourse among this majority in the Israeli Haredi community instead began opposing Israel’s sovereign democratic character, now instead demanding anti-modern, Taliban-style rabbinical clerical rule to be imposed on everyone else in Israel whether Jewish or not. This is as distinctive from the modernizing extreme rightwing racist & terrorist, post-Zionist Kahanist movement that in contrast demands modern Iranian-style rabbinical clerical rule to be imposed on everyone in Israel. In fact, this superficial modern/anti-modern dichotomy between Kahanist nationalism for clerical rule and Haredi nationalism for clerical rule as regards relating to modernity is in many ways comparable to and parallel to the distinction between the anti-modern Taliban-style Salafists & the modern Nazi-style Muslim Brotherhood in the contemporary ancient-modern nation of Egypt.
The thus politically twice bisected, highly polarized non-Zionist political insanity inside extremist Jewish religious discourse in Israel thus pits Slave Morality against Master Morality as regards not only (a) rejecting a secular & nominal, minimally Jewish secular degree of Israeli statehood but even paradoxically (b) advocating a maximally Talmudically Jewish religious Islamist-style degree of Israeli statehood under authoritarian/totalitarian rabbinical clerical rule. This certainly illustrates the need for a new philosophically Talmudically influenced Israeli democratically enhanced societal synthesis in the future federal Israeli member state of Judah (contemporary Israel renamed with new borders), responsibly-deconstructively merging ethico-politically worthy aspects of Zionist and Haredi intellectual discourse in Israel in ways fully compliant with values of multicultural, advanced democracy. Such deconstructive democracy-compliant intellectual synthesis will serve to conclusively end any and all ambitions for ethnic/religious domination/submission whether in one way or the other by culturally removing the mutually perceived existential cultural threat between the two main Talmudically Jewish societies in Israel. Notably, this would not directly require citizens to change their communal culture as part of multicultural Israeli society; only the future federal Israeli member state of Judah would hence be required to thus undergo such legislative change.
III: The Grand Deal: Partition & Dismantlement
Certainly independently of Israeli Haredi politics however, Syria is apparently very slowly getting incrementally closer to reaching a potential, “permanent” political tipping point amounting to a political stalemate of perfect hypothetical military equilibrium where ideally both sides would chose mutual self-determination over ethnic/religious domination although this may still take years, even many years to achieve. The international diplomatic focus now also needs to be on Grand Liban before the contagious Syrian armed ethnic conflict consumes Grand Liban as well. The necessary, even essential ethico-political diplomatic task is therefore certainly hence to put in place a new confederal political structure/arrangement in Grand Liban as a transitional political stage that would lend itself to subsequent region-wide partition of the biblical land of Israel more broadly and beyond, between a federal Amistan & a federal Israel once Syria becomes mutually ripe for bilateral partition.
While Syria is indeed getting increasingly closer to either diplomatic partition or non-diplomatic partition (the latter would certainly be far worse for everyone involved) – the peoples of Grand Liban abhor being or becoming ethnically/religiously dominated no less than do their fellow ethnic coreligionists in Syria. Certainly, were a legally required Lebanese parliamentary majority to decide in favor of a transitional confederal political structure in Grand Liban, then they would no longer need to fear Hezbollah’s thuggish, even chemically genocidal intimidation. This is so as Jerusalem then would be fully and completely ready to back up such a peaceful & sovereign Lebanese political decision and subsequently if need be fully obliterate Hezbollah in a very, very brief war once formally & covertly so requested to thus act by a new Lebanese government representing a majority of Lebanese citizens opposed to religious imperialism. Israel’s extremely effective military deterrence vis-à-vis Tehran’s severely frightened Hezbollah mercenary occupation forces is thus the ultimate guarantor of peace & peaceful democratic-diplomatic transition in Grand Liban.
There should under the new confederal structure/arrangement in Grand Liban thus be four member states of the temporary Lebanese confederation, (1) one Aramean-Druze state, (2) one Sunni Amian state, (3) one Twelver Amian state and (4) one Alawi-Aramean state. Political authority during the transitional confederal period in Grand Liban prior to partition of Greater Syria would be mostly delegated to the four member states with the exception of monetary & trade policies. Each member state would defend itself, maintain its own distinctive citizenship and determine its own immigration policies. Borders between the four constituent member states would be such that would later allow territorial or maritime contiguity for future regional member states of federal Israel and federal Amistan. The Aramean-Druze state (Aram) and the Alawi-Aramean state (Alawistan) would also not only include Crypto-Jewish Amian residential communities but also those Muslim Amian formerly Crypto-Jewish residential communities that would prefer to reclaim their ancient Pan-Jewish nationality. Partition would be optimal so as to ensure that as many majority neighborhoods as possible find themselves on the right side of the new transitional, confederal border lines that would ensure federal Amistani and federal Israeli member states that would each be contiguous by land or by sea.
First ensuring a confederal transitional solution in Grand Liban is thus a wholly indispensable element as part any grand bargain to be thus offered to the Iranian regime.
It would very much make sense economically, militarily, politically, psychologically, strategically and tactically to first diplomatically ensure the required transitional confederal comprehensive change in Grand Liban and only subsequently ensure dismantlement of Tehran’s nuclear weapons program. A Hezbollah first approach could very well in fact potentially become extremely helpful in strategically persuading the Iranian leadership to voluntarily dismantle its nuclear weapons program by sending a most powerful strategic message to the Tyrants of Tehran & Qom.
The constant uncertainty & lack of faith in the global economic future as experienced by jittery global financial markets due to the continued development of the Iranian nuclear weapons program is ultimately the single most significant factor perpetuating the continued global economic depression. A Hezbollah first approach would thus very credibly demonstrate to global financial markets that Tehran’s military nuclear weapons program will indeed be strategically undone in a highly responsible fashion. A Hezbollah first approach may thus ultimately possibly turn out to be the last chance for a diplomatic resolution on the issue of the undoing of the Iranian nuclear weapons program.
The Iranian-owned Hezbollah terrorist mercenary occupation forces in Iranian-occupied Grand Liban would if politically confronted under such political circumstances be extremely likely to be ordered by their Persian neo-imperialist military commanders in Tehran to indeed back down politically & militarily considering the immense stakes involved for ethnic Twelver Amians of Grand Liban and their illegally militarized residential areas as leading members of the Iranian regime and its Hezbollah proxy rightly experience, profound, tremendous fears as to their own political future. Diplomatic nuclear dismantlement in Iran certainly becomes far more likely if preceded by agreement on a transitional confederal solution in Grand Liban as the first diplomatic stage. Surely this is much preferable to the now increasingly diplomatically discussed appeasement scenario according to which Iran would be given a free hand to completely take over Grand Liban & turn it into a Khomeinist Islamic republic in return for Iran dismantling its nuclear weapons program and then subsequently fill Grand Liban with millions of heavily armed Iranian Jihadists bent on destroying Israel in achieving a Second Shoah. Certainly, this purported “trade-off” is indeed what Tehran asks from Washington while even now refusing to dismantle its own nuclear weapons program in return. For Israel this would merely exchange one Iranian existential threat for another so that is obviously not going to occur as Israel also cannot conceivably tolerate abandonment of fellow Pan-Jewish peoples to the Islamist-Jihadist enemy in Tehran.
All member states of the future federal Amistan would certainly be subject to a royal-Jordanian Amistani federal monopoly on armed forces, criminal detention, external border controls, intelligence services, the judiciary and police forces. Amistani citizens would have two citizenships, one in a specific Amistani member state and one pertaining to federal Amistan. Clearly this is in fact a very good deal for everyone in the region, including certainly for the three main Twelver Amian geographic areas of Grand Liban which should become three different constituent federal member states within federal Amistan.
Regional conclusive partition for conclusive peace would also crucially end, internalize and nationalize “Pseudo-Philistine” hereditary refugee status in Amistan since most “Pseudo-Philistine” Amians would then subsequently find themselves living in their very own independent federal Amistani nation wherein Sunni Amian ethnic “Pseudo-Philistines” could decide in which Sunni-majority Amistani federal subject where they would indeed prefer to reside, including in Neo-Philistine Amistani member states west of the Jordan river where they would hold member-state-specific citizenship. Amians living outside of Amistan, including Pseudo-Philistine Amians living outside of a unified Amistan such as in the ancient-modern nation of Egypt – should obviously be entitled by law to individually immigrate to and immediately receive national citizenship in a federal Amistan whenever they would indeed so please.
If Tehran’s military occupation subsidiary were hypothetically instead to not back down politically and not accept two-stage partition in Grand Liban then Israel would subsequently be fully obliged to completely destroy this utterly despicable, treasonous mercenary force serving the comprehensive agenda of Persian-Islamist neo-imperialist ethnic/religious colonial domination. This would certainly include completely lawful, yet utter destruction of most of those non-military built-up zones that have been wholly unlawfully and indeed very perfidiously so militarized by the Iranian mercenary occupation forces in Grand Liban. Yet, a military outcome in this regard is highly unlikely – as peaceful strategic Iranian retreat in Grand Liban as a diplomatic precursor to diplomatic dismantling of the Iranian nuclear weapons program is by far more likely if indeed pursued with unparalleled determination.
It is also important to understand that while Tehran does not really care that much about the wellbeing of its own citizenry (certainly not about its own Amian ethnic regional majorities whether Twelver Amians or Sunni Amians), yet they paradoxically care a lot about the collective welfare of ethnic Twelver Amians in Grand Liban. In fact, the deposed Shah shared a similarly selective geopolitical disposition in this regard thus reflecting Twelver Persian imperialism more broadly whether secularized or Islamist.
Let’s be very clear – the Iranian polity will not be permitted to reach the strategic stage of becoming a nuclear threshold state attempting to ethnically/religiously further dominate the region and the world. Anyone who sincerely accepts the idea of the genocidal regime in Tehran achieving nuclear threshold status (the US government doesn’t) apparently thinks of Tehran as a responsible power that can be trusted with such technological status and is thus de facto accepting of Iran later joining the exclusive club of powers with nuclear weapons. This is so as any nuclear threshold state has by definition the technical capacity to decide to join the nuclear club at any time of their own choosing that they themselves would hence consider geostrategically convenient.
All Talmudic Jews with at least minimal Jewish education, especially in Israel, know Hillel the Elder’s famous Talmudic dictum in Pirkei Avot (Sayings of the Fathers) 1:14 according to which rational, ethical self-interest and timely action are what makes possible the very exercise of ethical obligations towards the other:
If I am not for myself, who is for me?
And if I am only for myself, what am I?
And if not now, when?
The strategic formula for lasting peace & long-term stability in this shared broader Middle Eastern region of ours is quite simple, mutual and indeed equal for all peoples/nations of our region and entails simply strategically choosing self-determination over ethnic/religious domination. This very fair choice is the same for everyone in the broader Middle East and is indeed an ethico-political one of conclusive partition for conclusive peace. Therefore, choosing ethnic/religious domination instead of mutual self-determination is not an acceptable political choice or outcome anywhere in the broader Middle East as mutual self-determination is indeed pivotal to the noble cause of responsible, incremental regional democratization through universal expansion of global, now mostly digitalized open society, leading towards eventual establishment of democratic peace in this shared broader Middle Eastern region of ours.
Advanced democracy in the broader Middle East is surely not easy to achieve considering the still very substantial political strength of neo-imperialist Arabist/Islamist self-identified enemies of global liberal-democratic open society. Responsible democratization in the region therefore certainly requires (1) political patience, (2) particularly good political judgment, (3) strategic decolonization of Muslim neo-imperialism (Arabism, Islamism, Kemalism, Persian imperialism etc.), (4) the redrawing of obsolete colonial borders as well as (5) advanced political skills for indeed ultimately transforming regional non-democratic societies into open societies subsequently enabling responsible development & careful, incremental establishment of advanced democracy throughout our so very much contested, yet even so shared region.
