ON Saturday and Sunday Uppsala was the scene for the yearly congress for the Swedish Peace Association.

Roni witch also is the head of the Uppsala section at the organization with 250 members got now to be elected to the in the national board that represent 6000 members all over the Swedish territories.

We also got a victory when a resolution Roni had drafted passed through with only 2 voted to our favour. The draft was shortly about giving the Middle East area a more important role in the association and support local sections to get engaged in the different conflicts that are shown and not shown in the area.

Worth to mention also is that this year and for the first time in the associations 123 years history the congress had a theme. The theme was ¨The Cedar revolution in Lebanon¨.

The atmosphere was great through the weekend and all participants were happy and satisfied.
